Family farmhouse in a beautiful location
Kalbakgaard is a 150-year-old four-winged farmhouse. The farm has been owned by the same family since 1863, when it belonged to the Frijsenborg estate.
Kalbakgaard is located in Sall, a small cosy village in East Jutland, near the beautiful Frijsenborg forests and Frijsenborg Castle.

Kalbakgaard is close to many fascinating cities, towns and attractions in East Jutland. Stay with us and take day trips to the Old Town in Aarhus, Randers Rainforest, the Himmelbjerget hill in Ry or AQUA Aquarium & Animal Park in Silkeborg. Get inspiration for attractions here.
Hammel Indoor Swimming Pool is just four kilometres away. There is easy access to a lido, Hammel Golf Club’s scenic golf course and 15 km to the tropical water park in Søhøjlandet – as well as the opportunity for lovely walks in the beautiful Frijsenborg forests, which are home to abundant wildlife.
Accommodation in holiday flat
Our bright holiday flats come with their own bathroom, bedroom and kitchen, in connection with the living room. The holiday flats have their own large terraces with garden furniture and barbecue.
Children are welcome to use the playground sandbox, playhouse, trampoline, swings and small tractors. You can compete against each other in a variety of games on our spacious lawn – or enjoy an evening by the campfire in our idyllic country garden.
